Hearts to Hands CLT, Inc. is a community development 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the homeless population in Charlotte, North Carolina. Our mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, to improve the mental health and overall well-being of those less fortunate.

Our Story
Two friends who couldn't look away.
It began just three days before Thanksgiving in 2018 — unplanned and unanticipated. Mike and Kendra, two friends moved by what they'd been seeing on Charlotte's streets, set out to provide a dozen holiday meals for people in need. Then a single Facebook post took on a life of its own: friends from across the country asked how they could give, and by Thanksgiving Day those 12 meals had become 88 — with 10 more people asking to help. They couldn't look away then — and they haven't since.

Mission #66
Picnic in the Park
Mission #66 is our annual Picnic in the Park outreach, where we come together to share meals, fellowship, and essential resources with neighbors experiencing hardship. Volunteers will help distribute clothing, hygiene supplies, and other necessities while enjoying picnic-style food and meaningful connection with both fellow volunteers and members of the community. This is a family-friendly opportunity to serve, and volunteers of all ages are welcome to join us.

* Tuesday, 7/14: Storage Unit Prep Night (6:00pm – 8:00pm ET)
* Saturday, 7/18: Mission Morning Set Up (9:00am – 10:30am ET)
* Saturday, 7/18: Mission Day Event (10:30am – 1:30pm ET)
The Mission Day Event will follow our traditional two-part format with three volunteer teams. One team will serve under tents near First Ward Park, while the other two teams will head out on our signature on-foot wagon mission through Center City Charlotte.
Whether you’re helping organize supplies, serving meals, welcoming guests, or walking through the city alongside our neighbors, your kindness and presence help create lasting impact for everyone involved.

Tees for Tryon
Mission #65 is our annual Tees for Tryon outreach, where we’ll distribute t-shirts, clothing, hygiene supplies, and other essentials to neighbors experiencing hardship. This is a family-friendly opportunity to serve, and volunteers of all ages are welcome to join us.
